In a world where forest preservation is a concern and at the forefront of people’s mind, we take a conservative approach to how we harvest precious hardwood commodities.  The Government of Guyana has strict governance over the wood species that can be harvested and the sizes of each tree.  In order to adhere to their mandates, we gladly measure each tree and only harvest those that are within code.  We cut the designated trees then tag each stump in the forest and the tree that is being removed.  By doing this, we are helping to preserve millions of acres of rain forest found in various concessions throughout Guyana allowing for the remaining canopy of trees to grow and flourish for the next generation.
